Dundee Model Railway Club
Established - 7th April 1950
On the Road
Set in the decade from 2000 - 09 for running purposes, though we have used some modelling license and kept the old mills, that used to be near the level crossing, instead of the supermarket and car park that presently occupies the area.
We have also reinstated the loop line for use by the local Perth - Arbroath service, as well as a refuge siding for permanent way trains, keeping the main line clear.
Arbroath is our first foray into DCC. We used Gaugemaster Prodigy equipment for train operation, with point control, crossing barriers and uncouplers utilizing MERG components.
